Join me on this quest to raise awareness about a disease that can permanently blind people.

And, along the way, enjoy an ongoing adventure on a ride from the top of North America to the bottom of South America.

What it is - This is a motorcycle adventure and awareness ride.  It’ll be riding from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska to Tierra del Fuego, Argentina.  But along the way I’ll also be doing stories on researchers looking for a cure, doctors bringing extraordinary care, and glaucoma patients who’ve overcome this disease to lead inspiring lives.  Read more …

Why I’m doing it - I almost went blind from glaucoma.  As with many of its victims, I didn’t know anything was wrong until it was too late. By then I’d lost much of my vision. As anger, grief and sadness piled on, I went into the darkest of places.  Thanks in part to a bucket list, a great doctor and the support of friends I found my way out. Now I want to bring hope and information to others who are facing this disease.  Read more …
